I met Richard and Katy at a wedding fayre and they were such a friendly couple. They wondered if I could play ‘Married Life’ from the animated film Up and I said it was one of my absolute favourites. Katy really wanted to walk down the aisle to this song and they also had some film music requests for their wedding ceremony which I loved learning as I hadn’t played these pieces before.
They had ‘One Day’ by Hans Zimmer from the Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, James Horner’s theme from Braveheart, and the Last of the Mohicans theme plus some popular wedding songs after the confetti throw. The venue was the beautiful Hanbury Wedding Barns and the staff were so helpful and welcoming, I can’t wait to play there again soon!
